Providing the level of support required for people with learning disabilities, autism and ADHD

ST Complete Care Ltd care staff can provide the level of support required for people with learning disabilities. These range from household tasks, socialising, personal care, mobility, communication, and support with every aspect of their life. This also covers physical disabilities, Down's syndrome, and autism. Our carers have TES training in Autism and ADHD. They are all enrolled in Oliver McGowan training. We understand that a person with Down's syndrome will have some degree of learning disability, but the level of ability will be different for everyone. Our person-centred care plans cover all the aspects of care and support required. They ensure that independence is maintained and promoted for as long as it possibly can.

ST Complete Care offers a wide range of training to staff which allows them to specialise in different learning disabilities.

Our approach to learning disability care is rooted in the belief that every individual has unique strengths, abilities, and potential.

We work collaboratively with service users, their families, and other professionals to develop comprehensive care plans that focus on building confidence, developing life skills, and promoting social inclusion.

Whether someone requires support with communication, daily living skills, or managing challenging behaviours, our carers are equipped with the knowledge and compassion to provide meaningful assistance. We celebrate achievements, no matter how small, and encourage our service users to pursue their interests and goals within a safe and supportive environment.

Communication is at the heart of our learning disability care service

We recognise that individuals with autism, Down's syndrome, and other learning disabilities may have different communication needs and preferences. Our carers take time to understand each person's unique way of communicating, whether through speech, visual supports, sign language, or other methods.

Social engagement and community participation are essential components of our learning disability support

We actively encourage our service users to maintain friendships, pursue hobbies, and participate in community activities that bring them joy and purpose. Our carers provide support with accessing local clubs, leisure centres, day services, and social events, helping to combat isolation and promote a sense of belonging. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and contribute to their community in ways that are meaningful to them.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the rights and dignity of all individuals with learning disabilities. Our staff receive comprehensive training in safeguarding, equality and diversity, and person-centred practice to ensure that vulnerable adults are protected and empowered. We work within a framework of best practice and comply with all relevant legislation and guidelines.
